DESIGNER BEEF LEGACY
Sean’s passion for cattle began when he was a young boy helping his grandparent’s dairy farm. This inspired him to work at a local creamery and as a dairy nutritionist for several years in his young adult and adult years.
During this time, he discovered the biggest factors impacting an animal’s health and growth: the nutrition from the feed, the environment, and the handling of the animals. Knowing this, his greatest desire has been to raise cows in a natural, low stress environment to improve their overall health and to provide a quality product for families to enjoy.
Sean lives on a ranch in Detroit, Texas with his wife and four kids. They have a cow and calf operation where they also bottle feed orphaned calves.

I have ordered from this company back when it was a co-op. We’ve used them for about five years. The meat is amazing! It beats every high-end restaurant that I’ve eaten at (and I travel a lot for work) but it’s priced less than the grocery store. The dry aged burger is literally the best burger I’ve ever had. My wife uses it in everything. It makes awesome tacos, great grilled burgers, and even good meatloaf! Plus I love knowing where my meat came from and I love that it is so healthy. I will use this company forever.
Dry aged beef was something our family had ever tried until we learned about Designer Beef. We’ve had plenty of different cuts from local butcher shops that are great, but the dry aging process takes it up to another level. The ground beef has tons of natural beefy flavor making for great hamburger but where we really noticed the difference were the steaks. We enjoy our steak medium rare and the flavors are very concentrated as the meat almost melts in your mouth with a smooth buttery taste.Â
